workbook refresh gives different result

Hello SDNers

I am facing a strange problem. I have one workebook (based on only 1 query ) saved long time back. Now when I refresh this, it shows me the wrong result. However when I execute the same query from Bex analyzer, it gives me the correct result. This query has 1 condition on it and it's active.

I analyed all possible reasons 0- such as personalize variable values, change variable values option etc.

Kindly let me know what could be the reason for this.

Regards

Pradip

hi Pradeep,

how if save as another workbook and detach and attach again this query ? any macro or excel data manipulation in the workbook ?

hope this helps.

Check if query has changed. Coz after changing query, one should refresh the workbooks, align them properly and delete the results before transporting. (if you want blank workbook to start with)

Hi AHP

I tried this option and it's working fine. But question is - I need to find the root cause of this problem and communicate it to customer. As of now, I am not able to find root cause.

Hi Pradip,

Some time it so happens that the Query in Workbook is not refreshed with recent changes. If you try regenerating the Query using T-Code-->RSRT and run the same in the workbook it will show correct results.

Try that.

Hi All

I tried all suggestions given ...but no solution till now.

I found that on Local view of the query, for one characteristic, tick mark is done for Cumulated....if I remove this and refresh the workbook...I am getting correct result. But next time when I refresh, I am getting wrong result and found that change done in local view (remove tick mark for cumulated) is also not present.

Any ideas?

hi Pradip,

perhaps ...

Note 1027809 - Workbook dont refresh properly for selection criteria.

... The problem occurs in workbook, where one of the variable has multiple entries.

Note 987456 - Workbook not refreshed properly for selection criteria.

... variable of type "Can be changed during Query navigation"

hope this helps.

Cheers,
