Cannot load SHINE Applications

I can't open the SHINE Data Generator on Firefox using the URL as provided in the SHINE manual (Chapter 5):

http://10.10.10.25:8090/sap/hana/democontent/epm/admin/admin.html

Error: 404 - Not found

The same happens on Chrome and on all other SHINE applications.

What can be wrong here? Also, are there alternative ways to access the applications or at least generating data without XS?

I'm working with HANA Express Edition 2.0 SPS2 (server-only).

Hello Patrick,

Have you installed the SHINE content? It does not come out of the box with the SAP HANA, express edition. See Step 23:

Start Using SAP HANA 2.0, express edition

Hi Frank,

yes, I have installed it and I can examine the SAP_HANA_DEMO schema for instance. I also tried to reinstall it, but the removal of the old stuff apparently requires access to the HANA Application Lifecycle Manager which currently does not work (see my other question). I followed the Studio/Eclipse installation method, created a new user EPM_DEMO_ADMIN and assigned the Admin role to both that user and the SYSTEM user of SYSTEMDB.

Step 23 unfortunately refers to HXE Server + Apps variant, which I cannot use at the moment. If I nevertheless follow the steps, it ends telling me that the SHINE version is not compatible with my HXE version (obviously ;-)).
