If the Material is a KMAT, you can't. Most folks who start in VC make the material type KMAT.

It would need to be FERT or HALB

    Hello,

If it a configurabel material you need to create the stock against a sales order. For the same, you need to create a sales order with the material, and raise the stock with 501 / 521 movement type with special stock indicator 'E'. When you give the special stock indicator, the system willask for the sales oder and line item. Enter the order number and line item number and save, the stock will be raised against the order.

    hello, prasad.

the very nature of configurable materials precludes you from maintaining any stocks for this. by definition, you will start producing a configurable material only when there is an order for it.

when an order for a configurable material is received, and when you have created and saved the sales order, this triggers a planned order in PP, or a project in PS.

the PP/PS side then confirms/completes the production order/project. in the case of PP, the finished product is received into the sales order stock. this means that the finished configurable material is available only for that particular order and cannot be used for other orders.

you then create delivery, post goods issue and do billing as in the standard order.

however, you do have the option of variant matching. this means that when this is activated, the system can propose another material (which is in stock) with the same specifications as your configurable material.

    regards.

    Hi Prasad,

For Configurable material you cannot post the Stock Directly.

To post the Stock first you raise a Sales Order with that Confgurable Material aith a Order Quantity of 100 then Process the Sales Order and Save it. (Note the Order number).

Now goto MB1C and post the stock with Mevement type 561 with a Special Stock Indicator 'E' and specify the Sales order number and the Line Item number.

Specify the Material and Quantity 100 and Post it.

Goto MMBE and check the Stock Overview.

It is maintained as a Sales Order Stock

    Reward if helpful.

    Regards

    PAVAN.
