Archiving and Deletions

We are attempting to delete messages from our XI environment and have been unsuccessful. Originally the switch procedure was in place but has been deactivated. The persistance period for ASYNC is 400 days. When the delete process executes, no messages are deleted.

Following is the configuration.

	Check your reorganization jobs (archiving and delete jobs)
	Reduce the retention periods for messages awaiting deletion/archiving

Recommendation: Delete or archive processed XML messages

Have you checked if any of the mentioned XML messages are older than the period specified on the Retention period.

If they are newer, no XML message is going to be deleted

Hi,

You can try using the archive procedure... to delete the xml messages....

or you can schedule delete jobs from sxmb_adm using the confugre delete job option
