Effect of data in Routing

Hi SAP Friends,

Please tell what effect will the system show if we are not maintaining the data such as Component allocation,BOM,Validity,

Release status,New assignment in Routing?

If No,Then why these tab buttons are there?

What is the purpose behind that?

Hi Chandra,

These are few available functionalities available for Routings.

Validity : Routing is valid between the periods you give here.

Component Allocation : If you know that there are specific components that should be assigned for a particular Operation, you can do it here. in this assignment you can also use Backflush for Components.

New assigment : If you want to add additional components or change some compoents you can do it.

Status: You can indicate whether the Staus is in Creatio mode or Released mode.

There are many more fuctionilites available in Routings ... it only depends how to use it according to our requirements.

All data are usefull in different scenarios:

Component allocation , if we do not allocate components to specific operations then tehy are allocated to 1st operation. In some cases we need to allocate components to operations like subcontracting etc

Release status is very important, Your production order will read routing only whenyou release using "4"

New assignment is for component assignment only. and in order to assign component we need to see teh BOM , so BOM tab is also there.

Validity is itself important

So all data are important in different scenarios

Hi,

If you goto the component allocation, then you will find the components allocated to the operations if any..

If you are not allocating then also you can see the components without allocation.

System will take you to the BOM details of the Header Material if you go with BOM.

Every feature is not used in all the cases, as and when required the you can use the options. These are the standard options given.

All thse tab pages are for easy access of the data.

By using the Menu bar also we will get the same details..
