Didnt understand your question, as having 2 options to choose in sales order and selecting BOM based upon those options sounds too normal to use VC . Its what we always do , please provide some more details on the example table you attached.
Also , you can use below link to view the blog post on how to use Classes as an BOM item , in that document i have used only one value to replace a class item in BOM , you can assign two values in the material master for those 2 classes and once similar values will be selected this class node (200) will be replaced by material number having those values.
