BPC 5.1 after install of SP3 can no longer install BPC for Office

After installing the service pack 3 for 5.1 we are unable to install BPC for Office on a user's computer. Is this a bug in the new service pack? It appears to be as this worked just before installing SP3.

Has anyone else installed the new service pack? If so, do you find this to be the case as well?

Thanks

Jean

Hello Jean,

Could you please inform us if this user was using SAP BPC before on his laptop ?

Using a Windows Administrative account, i recommend to uninstall the previous BPC client and reinstall the new one from

the web browser pointing to the SAP BPC Server.

Also, please rename these folders after BPC removal :

- OutlookSoft located in User's My Documents

- BPC located in c:\Program files

Please keep us updated about the results.

Regards,

Jean

The laptop does not have a previous version of BPC installed on it. This is a fresh install.

We are also having an issue since we installed SP3. Folks are okay if they previously had the client installed but any new installs will not work. On citrix after sp3 and trying to get the client installed we are getting another message saying Error on uncompressing file> Error: Class does not support automation or does not support expect interface. On regular desktops it doesn't finish.

Hi Jean,

I have installed 5.1 Sp03 several times without any problem. I uninstalled the older client and reinstalled the SP03 version through the Software Center.

What error are you getting? Also, do you have any obstacle like firewall or content filtering between the app/web server and the clients?
