Stock Transfer: Physical Movement of stock - i.e. movement of stock from one place to another. Example of Stock Transfers are movement of stock from one plant to another, one storage location to another, etc.

Transfer Posting: Logical Movement of stock - i.e. the stock does nto physically move, but there is a change in its status in the system. Example of Transfer Postings are movement from QI stock to unrestricted stock, unrestricted to blocked stock, etc

Stock Transport Order: This is a Purchase Order (in SAP) used to transfer stock from one location to another (plant to plant within one company or across companies).

    Hope this clarifies.
