product cost overhead

Hi gurus,

I have the following problem.

I work actually for a company that produces footwear.

The customer wants claculate overhead based on quantity, exactly xx eur for 1 PC. I builded the costing sheet but when I run CK40n, the overhead are not calculated.

If I don't use unit measure PC but Meter ( the same of component ), the overhead are calculate.

I think that this happens because for the component there is a consumption cost element and for the finish product there isn't

a cost element

I try to use the enhancement but without results.

Please, could you help me?

Thanks in advance

regards

Hello Raffaele,

I want you to check again all these things in your SPRO: In Product Cost Planning check the Basic Settings for Material Costing

Costing Sheet: Components like:

1. Defining Calculation Bases

2. Defining Percentage Overhead

3. Maintain OH Percentages

4. Defining Credits

5. Costing Sheet

6. Definition of Costing Sheet

7. Cost Component Structure

8. Define Cost Component Structure

9. Assignment: Organizational Unit - Cost Component Structure

10. Activate - Cost Component Structure

11. Settings Cost Estimate with Qty Structure

12. Definition of Valuation Variant

13. Settings for Costing Variant

14. Activating Cross-Company Costing

15. Costing Sheet: Components

16. Define Details for Calculation Bases,

Give me your email and I will send you a document directly to check again.

Thanks

Sorry Raffaele,

This beats me. I wish I could identify the issue, but it is difficult without system access.

However, I'll give it a thought when possible and hope we find the answer.

Cheers.

Hiya,

I am running out of ideas myself... one last try... can you confirm if the Costing Sheet is being picked up during costing?

Please run the costing of this one material alone in CK11n (and not CK40n) and if you can scan the various tabs after costing to see if the costing sheet is being read by the system.

If this does not work out, I wouldn't know what to do...

Cheers.

I see the tab costing in CK11n...

It's all OK....

Uff..... I can't explain why it doesn't work....

I still believe the problem lies with the Cost Element definition in the Calculation Base.

Can you check that base again? If you have provided an Origin Group to your material (FG), can you enter that Origin Group here and check if it works?

Somehow, I can't think of any other reason why this doesn't work, esp. since it seems to work when the unit changes from PC to Meter. That means, the Cost element for the component with BUoM Meter has been defined there, but the Cost Element for the component with BUoM PC (the final Finished Good) is not mentioned there.

If required, can you plug in the best available Cost Element Group and try?

Cheers.

Hi Ram,

I have created base with all cost element and with the origin group that I inserted in Finished good.

So, I have the following bases:

From cost element 1 to cost element zzzzzz

From origin group TEST

the following quantity based overhead:

OH Type: 1 -2

OH Key: TEST

etc

the following credit:

cost element: ...

origin group: TEST

cost center:....

I try to run again but this overhead is not calculated....

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

What did you define as the base? I mean, the CE range... does that cover the Finished Product?

Cheers.

Hi Ram,

The cost element that I defined in the base is "good receipt to warehouse"

Hiya,

Can you confirm the following:

1. what is the material Base UoM?

2. Is there a conversion from meter to the Base UoM defined under "Additional Data --> Units of Measure" in the material master?

3. I hope the Credit Key assignment to the overheads line is all correct and that part of config has been checked thoroughly?

Cheers.

Hi Ram,

1) In the bom, the UoM is Piece (PC)

2) in the material master, there isn't conversion meter - pc, because it's impossible to know how meter of raw material will be use for produce a dress....

3) Yes, the costing sheet is correct. Indeed, I have other two rows in the costing sheet that calculates the overhead for the component and run correctly

Please, help me!!!

Thanks in advance
