EC-PCA: Split of central costs

In our PCA implementation we need to split some central costs (for example General & Administration) by brand based on their % of Revenue (or Net Sales Value). For example:

Total NSV = 1000 USD,

Brand A NSV = 300 USD,

Brand B NSV = 200 USD,

Brand C NSV = 500 USD,

G&A costs = 100 USD

In this example G&A costs should be allocates to brand profit centers as 30/20/50% proportion (i.e. 30 USD for Brand A, 20 USD for Brand B and 50 USD for Brand C).

Is there any standard tool in EC-PCA to set up such split? How it can be set?

    Hiya,

Is it not possible to distribute or assess the costs based on a SKF defined as Total Revenue or so. This SKF can be updated using the SIS (link the SKF during creation).

Haven't tried this in PCA, but I guess this should work?

    Cheers.

When you create a SKF, you can link it to LIS.

You may or may not find a LIS Structure for Revenue or Net Sales and so you may need to create one.

For creation, go to IMG --> Logistics --> LIS and create a LIS for Net Sales (T Code MC21)

Use a user defined range (S501 through S999) and specify the application (01 for Sales and Distribution).

Choose the Key Figures button at the bottom to select the value "Net Value". You should find this under the field catalog SD: Values, Prices (Billing). Pick the currency for the Net Value.

Under Characteristics, you can restrict the value to a specific Sales Org and defined additional chars as per your requirement.

Once done, create your SKF and link it to this Info Structure.

The only issue I see here is the Unit for the SKF. Normally your Net Sales are in a currency unit and we don't have a currency unit for SKFs. You have the option of creating a Unit of Measure named "Currency" and assigning the SKF to it or leave it blank (No Dimension).

Let me know how it goes.

    Cheers.
