I'm looking to upload test scripts with steps and expect results from excel into the solution manager test suite 7.2. Is it possible, and if yes, what are the exact steps to achieve this?
Thanks
Hello,
Yes this is possible, you can mass upload test cases in solution manager through excel files (csv) for this you need
Focused Build extension & then access Test Step designer, there you need to access upload button then download the upload template, fill the upload template with the test case steps then upload.
Thanks,
Aj

If you want to upload the files using excel but you are not in SP6, you can use this note " 2509832 - Importing a TSV file to a solution" to enable the functionality

Good morning,
Two options:
(1) Convert Excel files into Test scripts objects
You will need to purchase the Focused Build extension in order to do that.
Then you will have access to the "Test Step Designer", from which you can import a .csv file and convert it into a Test Script.
However, I don't think there is a mass upload feature yet (I may be wrong about that). See attached file.teststepdesigner.jpg
(2) Mass upload of Excel documents
This is a standard SolDoc feature with SP06. You can mass upload structure elements, documents, executables, etc.
But that's only for the initial upload, it does no support delta adjustments. SAP Note 2547958.
Hope this helps!
