Split a PR to multiple PO items at auto PO creation

Strategic buyers in our company want to buy some materials in batches of 5 sets, with the auto PO creation in transaction ME59N.

Every PO that's created should have 5 items with one set per item. The important thing is to have 5 sets of the material in one PO. Not possible to have one item with 5 schedule lines as our EDI solution doesn't support multiple schedule lines on a PO item. Only on scheduling agreements but not on POs.

At the moment they have a fixed lot size in MM03 on the qty of 5 sets. Let's say that one set of material "A" is 10 PC. This material would then have 50 PC in fixed lot size. MRP creates PR with 50 PC, and buyer converts to PO also with 50 PC. Complete item gets same delivery date, as it takes too much time to split into 5 items with different delivery dates which would match 5 demands in MD04 to those dates.

Now they want to start using ME59N to automatically create the PO with a batch job. At the same time they want the split to 5 happen. I have suggested scheduling agreements instead of POs but this was not a solution for them, as the request is to only buy 5 sets at a time and not send a complete request overview to supplier, which the different zones would give to supplier.

I also thought that Min and Max qty fields in the purchasing info record could be useful, but that only caused a warning in ME59N that the qty was too high compared to max qty in info record, instead of splitting to a new PO or item when qty was reached.

Does anyone have an idea if this is possible without doing modifications to SAP standard? We have SAP HANA with EHP7.

Thanks in advance
