General Query

Hi all,

My MMBE stock for a material is 1000. when i create a Sales Order for quantity anything greater than 1000, same day as requested del date, the system is confirming the same in schedule lines. But stoping me to do the delivery as there is no excess stock available.

My question is why the system is confirming todays date in schedule line though the quantity is not avaliable. I should inform my customer abt the avalability of the material, and should change the requested delivery accordingly but through schedule lines i cannot know this. what should i do?

thanks in advance,

Have you configured for the availability check which determines whether the stock is present on the required delivery date.

If the availability check config is correct than while creating the sales order itself, an availability check screen pops up showing that the required delivery quantity cant be met or the qty cant be confirmed.

Can you check in the material master for the material in sales gen plant data, under availability check it should be either 01 or 02 and should not be KP - no check.

In schedule line category, check for the avail chk check box.

Hi, Anil, pls check the followings:

    1. MM: MRP type should be relevant to MRP, Availability check should be activated according to your requirements, dates under plan in MRP2 should be filled in according to your practice.

    2. Schedule line cat.should be relevant to MRP.

    3. Sales doc type should allow delivery date proposal.

    4. When creating order, select carefully the choices if availability control screen pops up.
