How works the 'Storage of Notes' (Rejection/Approval Notes) in My Inbox App?

Previously,

In the Approve Requisitions & Approve Purchase Orders apps the Rejection/Approval Notes were stored in the "B08" & "F18" text types respectively.

https://help.sap.com/fiori_bs2013/helpdata/en/B3/F03A5225ECBB10E10000000A44176D/frameset.htm

Actually, I worked with that config. 2 years ago and it worked perfectly

Now,

In My Inbox App All Items - No Specific Scenario, the same All Items app for several workflows (Approve Requisitions & Approve Purchase Orders), I´m trying to discover how the storage of notes works?

In the My Inbox Config help, I´m not able to find nothing related to storage of notes

https://help.sap.com/viewer/8308e6d301d54584a33cd04a9861bc52/1709%20000/en-US/87700e57daec134ce10000000a4450e5.html

*I already tried to reuse the "B08" & "F18" with My Inbox, but doesn´t works, they remain empty despite my rejection/approval comments

Don't confuse 'Storage of Notes' (Rejection/Approval Notes) with SBWP attachment comments

I found this note, But I'm not sure.

2385266 - The purchasing document approval comment created in Fiori My Inbox is not visible in ECC

If anyone has knowledge about this, please provide some advice.

By the moment I´m going to test with 2385266 and also I will update the UIX01CA1 200 from 004 to 005 to fix some issues

Thanks!

Hello!

The note is correct. I think you will also find the following blog useful, which provides you with an implementation of the BADI mentioned there:

https://blogs.sap.com/2015/06/08/fiori-my-inbox-step-6-implement-the-badi-for-updating-the-decision/

Best regards,

Maria

Thanks Maria!

Definitely this is the way,

Now I have some questions about the '2385266 - The purchasing document approval comment created in Fiori My Inbox is not visible in ECC' Note

The note says that the implementations already exist, and this is correct

MM_PUR_PO_APPROVE_ACTIONS - Purchase Orders

MM_PUR_REQ_APPROVE_ACTIONS - Purchase Requisitions

badi.jpg

After click on MM_PUR_REQ_APPROVE_ACTIONS, you can see that the "Execution depends on runtime filter values", actually the filters are already configured.

Basically the note says that for every scenario (Purchase Orders & Purchase Requisitions), you have to add your OWN LOGIC to the method /IWWRK/IF_WF_WI_BEFORE_UPD_IB~BEFORE_UPDATE.

What does this mean? Add your own logic? there must be a standard way because the BAdI implementations, methods already exist, This is just about the decisions comment.

Anyway, I need to check this with a ABAP consultant :(

Thanks!

Hi Juan Carlos,

Add your own logic means that you need to implement method /IWWRK/IF_WF_WI_BEFORE_UPD_IB~BEFORE_UPDATE yourself. Anyway, the previous blog (https://blogs.sap.com/2015/06/08/fiori-my-inbox-step-6-implement-the-badi-for-updating-the-decision/) explains how to do it, and it provides you with an example of this implementation.

Best Regards,

Maria Martos
