Hi All,

I have read several blogs on service contract auto renewal and everyone mentioned about some service contract template thing I am not able to understand how to reach to that path. Is this part of any specific module in SAP or part of standard SD/SM module.

Please help I have a requirement where we have SAP integrate with Sales force as frontend and the opportunity and service quote is created in SF and then the fulfillment part is execute din SAP. We are looking for a solution to automate the contract auto renewal process. Any suggestions and thoughts will be of great help.

Hello Mona,

I suppose you are trying to create new service contract once the old one will expire within certain period, for example, 3 days or 1 month.

In CRM we usually will define a daily running background job to check if some contract will expire within the period. Once the condition is fulfilled the defined action implementation will be scheduled or executed. The action may use service contract template to create new contract and fill any data you want according to your business requirement. You can even directly modify the old contract if your business allows; you may also send end users a email to remind them the contract will expire some days later.

Above is one way using basic features, service contract template and action implementation.

Hope it helps. If you have any question please let me know.

Regards,

Webster
