Single Signe On Problem

Hello,

I'm having problems configuring the Single Sign on from my Portal to my Solution Manager (SLM)system.

I have set up my system as UIDPW, but when I go to map my user to this system, it will not save my password.

I have this message on the user mapping screen when I chooose my SLM system.

"You chose the SAP reference system. The user ID you enter will be used for Single Sign-On to several or all SAP systems.

When you change elements of this user mapping, you need to enter a valid password to prove your identity."

I have another system (ECC) configured in my portal, configured exactly the same way as SLM. My other system allows me to enter the passord in the map, and does not have the message above.

Questions:

Why can't I configure my user to be mapped to this system? Is it due to it being a "reference" system?

My SLM Alias says user mapping is ready, and testing the connection give a success response for the alias, but a failure on the single-sign on check.

How do I turn off SLM as the reference system?

It is not listed in System Admin>System configuration>UME configuration. I don't know why this message is displayed under this system.

All my user id's in my systems are the same, so I would really like to use logon tickets, but I can't get that to work either. I know the UIDPW works with my ECC system, but not here.

Thanks for the help.

Doug
