How do we reset a user's personalization data in Launchpad, e.g. user created groups, add/remove of tiles etc? Basically resetting the user's launchpad to the default one.
Really it's very annoying for a user to have all the default Personalization needed... and it's BAD UX generally.
They can still see the original groups in the App Finder and can reset their own changes when using the Edit Home Page option.
If you really really have to use the Invalidate Client Caches tool but try to only clear the specific user who has asked for this. Or you are going to be VERY unpopular.
Yes, I need to clear it for some specific users only. Some of the users have messed with the personalization features, and now they have the groups and tiles all over the launchpad. Hence we need to reset their data back to default.
I just tried the Invalidate Client Cache, but it does not seem like reset the data. I did some changes to few of the groups with my id, and cleared the cache for my id - i can still see the old things, does not reset the changes.
Hi Tomi, Yes and no. For instance things are very different in S/4HANA. And Fiori launchpad has it's own tooling and storage areas - so thinking it's just the same as SAP Business Suite is not a good idea. Best option is to go to help.sap.com select the product page for your NetWeaver version and then find the Fiori launchpad guide from there for your version.
