Hello,
I'm hoping for some quick answers from this forum.
Does anyone know if SAP has shut the door on support IE7 on Vista for NW 2004/EP6? Is the oly path to IE7 on Vista to go to NW7/EP7? I have read the PAM's and understand what's listed. Just want to know if anyone has heard future plans from SAP.
Anyone have any experience running IE7 on Vista for NW04/EP6 especially ESs/MSS?
Thanks in advance. Points will be rewarded!!!,
Doug

are you talking about the frontend for accessing the applications or the SERVER running on?
IE 7 is supported for ESS/MSS on EP 6.0 starting with SP19...

Yes - I am talking about them too!
Check
(on the left side menu)
--> Product Availability Matrix
--> SAP NetWeaver '04 PAM
Check the powerpoint slides.

Thanks Markus,
I think this answers my question as the SP19 compatibility is only listed in the context of IE7 AND XP. Vista is not mentioned. As I mentioned in the original post we're interested in Vista/IE7 support. Unless I hear otherwise it looks like this is not "officially" supported in NW04/EP6. I'd be interested to hear of any have run it though.
Thanks,
Doug
IE 7 on Vista is not much different than IE 7 on Windows XP (well - it's the same software).
However, that mentioned PAM states this for the administration tasks but not for the business packages.
To make sure I'd open an OSS call and ask if IE7/WV for that specific business package is supported for your release.
