Hello everybody,

we are trying to implement a planning solution based on Lumira-Designer spreadsheet component comparable to Analysis for Office.

When planning characteristics as key figures we are missing the F4 help functionality.

Does anybody know, how to set up this functionality or is this a gap to Analysis for Office?

Kind regards,

Thomas

Hi Thomas - Lumira Designer has value help feature to set up your own value help - see SAP Help: https://help.sap.com/viewer/4f58d91f03e441b68d3187e94be27df2/2.1.0.0/en-US/1b230a538e9046f185e68b71249db026.html

Have you tried it - would it meet your requirement?

Hi Tammy,

thanks for your quick response.

Your link is telling only how to set up the layout of the F4 help. But the link doesn't say anything how to get access to the F4 help from the backend in general. In Analysis for Office, the F4 help is automatically displayed, but in Lumira Designer not.

Kind regards,

Thomas

Thomas - one more idea, would the Planning Template delivered with Lumira Designer offer this functionality? I don't have a planning box/query to try this. I would try this first.

Another option is action sheets - https://help.sap.com/viewer/4f58d91f03e441b68d3187e94be27df2/2.0.2.0/en-US/61290f2c294b4efe92137e169688ba7e.html

Hi Thomas,

I have spent some time messing around with the new Value Help component and have managed to get it working in one of our applications. Yes the Value Help technical component only provides options to configure how F4 help is displayed, but you then need to create a binding between your cross tab and the Value Help technical component.

Steps:

  1. Create Value Help technical component and configure as required
  2. Go to your Crosstab and under the Planning heading select the value help component you have created from the list in the property "Value Help Settings".

Until the binding is made, the Value Help technical component will not do anything at runtime.

Cheers, Ivan.

OK, would Reiner's blog help? https://blogs.sap.com/2017/12/21/mysterious-memberlists-in-lumira-designer/ - I know what you mean, but not sure if this covers it

Hello Tammy,

during the last days, we invested a lot of time and effort into this issue and the given links. But we couldn't find a fitting solution.

For us it looks to be a solution gap between Analysis for Office and Lumira Designer.

How can we address this issue to SAP Lumira Product Management?

Kind regards,

Thomas

Hello Thomas - I would look at the Influence Feedback site influence.sap.com/feedback - are you a member of a user group? That is another option as well.
