MDG-S: Does it change the Supplier data and is Licensing required?

Hi,

We are implementing Ariba Strategic Sourcing, and we need to inntegrate Suppliers with SAP on HANA (not S4).

Recommendation is to use MDG-S. This requires to activate ate least the following Business Functions:

• Master Data Governance, Generic Functions (MDG_FOUNDATION)
• Master Data Governance, Generic Functions 2 (MDG_FOUNDATION_2)
• Master Data Governance, Generic Functions 3 (MDG_FOUNDATION_3)
• Master Data Governance for Supplier (MDG_ERP_SUPPLIER)
• Master Data Governance for Supplier on Hub (ERP) (MDG_ERP_SUPPLIER_2)
• Master Data Governance for Supplier 6.1 (MDG_ERP_SUPPLIER_3

Two questions:

Does this require any licensing to the client?

Activating the BF's, will it change the supplier data as it is now, with the management being done via XK* and FK* and MK* transactions? Will we be obligated to use Business Partners or we will have to use it only if we configure it?
