Hello people.

Who should we talk to about requested, but unreceived points on SDN Wiki?

Thanks to all.

Regards.

Also, bringing this to the attention of the moderator of the respective space is helpful. Many of the moderator names are in the home/space page of topics. The point allocation in the wiki is still far from an automated and complete process, but as usage proliferates and more folks create and find valuable content, this should change and improve, at least from a usage and visability perspective. If you are aware of good content in the BPX area for example that I may have overlooked, I'm all ears.

Hey thanks, Marilyn.

I've made a lot of changes in some of the wiki pages, and as it has been some time ago I can't remember everything right now, but I'm sure of have sending the point requests as soon as I made the changes, and of following the rules you have for it, which are:

Added link 1-2

Corrected spelling and formating 1-5

Added sentence(s) or paragraph(s) 1-10

Created new page with content 10-20

Restructured 1-20

However, the main colaboration I can still remember I gave is this page about performance tuning:

I wasn't, though, properly pointed for the time I've demanded to do that, reason for what I've stop to develop and change wiki pages.

I'm not sure if that point request process is working fine... I'd be glad to post again on wiki, but I'm hoping things to work.

Also, I'm not sure if the content were not welcome or pleasing. But if it wasn't, I should know why in order to post a better and more useful content next time I decide to colaborate.

Thanks for your attention!!

Regards.

Hi Rodrigo,

I must admit that crediting wiki content providers is something we need to work on to improve. For everyone's benefit here is the link to the [wiki moderator's page|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Community/ListofWiki+Moderators].

I see for example that Brian Bernard (ABAP webpage content strategist and editor) is "responsible" for the area you have added to.

(Thanks to Jim Spath) this page is now in alphabetical order, but the problem is how consistant and clear are we all about rewarding our contributors in each of the content areas.

I see my name associated with 2 areas: BPX and CSR and I can tell you that I am not always consistantly rewarding each piece of content that finds its way to those page areas. (although I really try).

What I can promise is to discuss this with my colleagues and try to get this addressed better, through the other moderators, mentors, and facillitators.

Good participation (and content) should be recognized.

Thanks for letting us know what doesn't work.

Marilyn

Hi Marilyn,

Whilst on the topic, I used the Wiki point request system to request points for hosting a session at the London Community Day via my session abstract Wiki page [over here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/community/community%2bday%2blondon%2b-%2bapril%2b2008]. So far no response, so I was curious whether this was the best route to go?

Cheers,

Mike

I'll have to be very candid Mike and say "I don't know". But I am very determined to "find out".

I'll have to get back to you all on this one. If it's not clear for you and me, there is work to be done. I don't want to see the good content recognition slipping through the cracks.

Update: I've just received my answer.

We will be doing massive updates of wiki points on a quarterly basis until we are able to do these more frequently with our moderators. So patience with the system. It won't be as immediate as other forms of recognition but it won't be overlooked.
