Need help finding API docs/reference for SAP ERP

I’m new to the SAP API and I’m looking for details on which API to use for integration of SAP ERP with one of our client’s eCommerce platform. The information around the site is quite vast and I feel kind of lost. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have retagged this question for being ERP and API focused, rather than API Management.

You are correct, there is a ton of information and it can be difficult to pin down. Can you help us with some information, when you say you are looking for details for an API to use to integration with an eCommerce platform, you are looking for an API in SAP ERP?

Typically ERP does not expose APIs, but rather uses BAPIS (Business APIs), RFCs (Remote Function Calls) and the like. If the ERP has the Netweaver stack on it, then it also can use SAP Gateway to transform services into OData which can be used for access.

But for a general question, it might help the experts if you can provide a little more clarity on the exact nature of what you are trying to do with ERP, and what you are trying to integrate into eCommerce.
