SAP GUI patch

Hi!

We get the following error message when we install gui620_71-10001502.exe directly in a Windows environment, containing a SAPinstallation:

SAP Front-end patch

Make sure that the SAP SW you want to apply this patch to is already applied. Or, if you want to apply this patch to an installation server use SAPAdmin.

We used Solution Manager in order to get the fix. Do we somehow have to use Solution manager for applying the fix, is our client 6.2.2 too old, ....?

What is the fix you done through Solution Manager, What is this client 6.2.2. Is that GUI version

It could be that the new patch could not recognise it or may be it missing some patch.

Anyhow this version of GUI is obsolete and not supported anymore. Try to upgrade to GUI 7+

After talking to our Windows expert, it shows that the SAP installed previously, only was a "really" old SAP GUI patch. He tried to install the latest SAP GUI patch again, stand alone, but he gets the same error message:

The patch(gui620_71-10001502.exe) was available some days ago in Solution Manager and as far as I understand, then it's supported.

The interesting part of the error message is: to apply this patch to an installation server use SAPAdmin. Is there a need to be SAPAdmin? There was no such need before.

The oldest version is a 4.6C(FI system).
