ODS activation is failed due to request not updated properly

Hi ,

The ODS activation is failed. The error message is

->Request REQU_48QI0IEH5AVI41IC04NDKSG0K (519,071 ) has not or not correctly been updated; P

->Activation of M records from DataStore object is terminated .

This requested is deleted from list and not found in Reconstruction tab also. I understand the cause of this error , as the delta requests are not in sync. Can anybody suggest me the solution.

Thanks,

Rajani.

    Hi Rajani,

Go to RSRQ t.code - give your request number(REQU_48QI0IEH5AVI41IC04NDKSG0K ) - execute. In the monitor screen , you make total status to red eventhough it is red.. Make manually force to red..

after that try to activate the DSO , hope it will work..

    Regards,

    Siva.

      Hi Rama,

      I haven't checked SDN from last 3days.

Here is How I have solved.

If you ODS activation is failed due to a missing request,

      1. Find that missing old request using

      - RSRQ Tcode or

      - RSREQDONE Table

and the make the overall status of the request to RED .

      2. Then manually activate the ODS.

Hope I am not very late and hope it helps you.

      Thanks,

      Rajani.

    Hi,

Start with the monitor and look at all the requests to this ODS from the date this problem started. Some of the requests might not have gone to the ODS and be stuck in the PSA. Or some might have been deleted without marking them red. Mark all these requests red and then try activating the request.

Also looks like the requests are out of sync, so there's no easy solution for this as you might be missing data. There are 2 things you can do :

    1. Do a full repair request so that the data is current and upto date and then resume the deltas

    OR

    2. Reinitialize the delta (not recommended if you are live and in Prod with this ODS).

    Cheers,

    Kedar

      Hi,

Follow the steps I suggested in the post above. There is a possibility that you updated requests only to the PSA that never went to the ODS and then there were requests after that , that were updated in the ODS. You need to mark those requests red as well.

If you are still in Dev, best solution is to start afresh. Delete all the data from the ODS, delete the delta and reinitialize the delta.

      Cheers,

      Kedar
