Lumira Application refreshing datasource using Import BW method in Discovery

While building my application using Lumira Discovery/Designer I wondering how is the refresh of datasets made on the BI platform in an automatic way. This considering that I am using Local connection to import data from BW and then using the graphs built in Discovery to use them on Designer.

But I got to the point that the datasource that go in the graphs in designer have to be changed manually on the application when done a refresh on this datasets on Discovery.

Is there a way to refresh this datasets on Designer on an automatic way considering they are based on Import datasets built in Discovery, or I have to change them manually every time I want to refresh to the actual data of BW

Hello Tammy thanks for your quick response!.

I am aware of scheduling feature, but i am unsure if this is possible on Imported data from BW on a composite datasource with prompts (not query). Also I am not sure that you can refresh this views from graphs in designer cause they are copies from the datasources (views) created on Discovery not live connections to the sources.

Any advice is usefull or links to reference on Imported data BW and its uses.

Just thinking this through - since you have this imported in Designer, that is now an online source, right?

The views from crosstabs and graphs are not live connections to the composite, they are views created importing data in Discovery and building up this objects. So... this views are not directly from the composite they are views made creating new dimensions and ratios based on the imported data.

I guess they are not an online source. They are just views that were made from discovery, this because Live connection to BW is so restricted I cant build what I want, so i used Import instead.

But i am stuck with the problem when i want to update my datasources, I have to this on Discovery and then copy each datasource refreshed to the designer APP using the same names and then upload the changes. It loses the automatic refresh you would expect from an application. Maybe i am doing something wrong, any observations are appreciated or alternative ways to work with Lumira (considering i need to create new dimensions and ratios)

Hi - does it have to come from Discovery? Why not build it in Designer, especially if you update data sources?
