ByD - Service order completion without Confirmation

Is it possible to complete and submit a service order for invoicing without doing the service confirmation part? I.e. assume the order is 100% completed and invoice it accordingly?

Hi,

In Services if your are using the Item Type:

1. Time and Material: In this case, Service Confirmation is mandatory and invoicing will be done with respect to service confirmation invoice request.

2. Fixed Price: Service Confirmation is mandatory and the invoicing will be done with reference to Service order invoice request. However the service order invoice request is created only after the service confirmation is created

3. Fixed Price without Actuals: Service confirmation is not mandatory and you can create invoice without doing service confirmation when you use item type as Fixed price without actuals

Additionally,

Even before completing Service Order (by completing Service Confirmations), you can still create Invoice based on Service Order (Subject to Scoping.

but still at the end, you have to complete Service Order by finishing Service Confirmatios.

Hi,

For repairing any product you need to add Spares + Service.

Hence, unless you dont do Service Confirmation in service scenario, then its not treated as 100% completion.

You are supposed to perform Service Confirm for repair job (service confirmation is your job completion in case of service)

If you are only doing sale of spare parts, then you can directly sale it thorough Sales Order Module (Service order in not in picture).
