Null feature in Copy Operator

We are trying to use the new feature of COPY operator which helps in setting the target key figure value to NULL. Intent is to set the target KF null without using any other intermediate key figures.

Our point of reference is SAP helps link - https://help.sap.com/viewer/bf99e931b8d44aafb4e306ec3602cbdd/1711/en-US/66e9365591166c38e10000000a174cb4.html

We configured our copy operator as per the picture attached.

However, when we run the operator we are getting the error : Mandatory parameter SOURCE_KFID1 is missing

Even if we maintain a source KFID and leave it blank, then also we get an error message that “SOURCE_KFID1 is not valid for version __BASELINE”

Is there a parameter which we are missing or is the functionality supposed to work with both Source and Target KF? Our current planning was created in 1708 version.

Thanks,

Pallavi

    Hi Pallavi,

According to the documentation it should be possible to define the operator without specifying a source KF..so it's odd that is raising that error message:

"Clears the value of the target key figure, that is, sets the value to null.

If you enter a source key figure, the operator first copies the values to the target key figure, thereby creating any planning combinations that don't already exist. It then clears the value of the target key figure. If you don't enter a source key figure, the operator simply clears the target key figure values. No planning combinations are created in this case.

Note that this parameter is not taken into account if the copy operator is run for scenarios."

Your system was already upgraded to 1711 release, right? Are you running the operator from the WEB UI or Excel UI? In case of Excel UI, which add-in version you have on your side?

    Best,

    Ivan

    • Hi Ivan,

Thanks for commenting. To answer your question, Yes the system is in 1711 version. Also i was attempting to run through Excel UI. Excel Plug n version is also the latest one (1711).

However, the solution for this error is to mark X against the parameter “CLEAR_KF_VALUES”.

      Thanks,

We resolved the Copy Operator error- We need to mark X against the parameter “CLEAR_KF_VALUES”.

    Thanks !
