Value was either too large or too small for a decimal

I have encountered the same problem as in

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3928629

and I also read Note

1798805 - Datacell with a very large value

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1798805/E

and the problem should be solved

but with Analysis 2.2.2.55076 on

BEX Query BW 7.4 SP 09

we have the same problem with really big numbers.

RSRT/ Bex Analyzer is working but with Analysis for Office I get

Value was either too large or too small for a decimal

When I devide the big numbers within Query Designer in order to get them smaller everything is fine.

Does anybody has a solution?

Thank you very mucch

Best regards

Hello Michael - reading this SAP Note, it recommends going to Analysis Office 2.3 SP03 https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2357747 - but I would go to 2.5 or 2.6

Hello Tammy, could you see my answer:

thanks for your reply but I am working on a Bex Query on

BEX Query BW 7.4 SP 09

not on HANA directly and the

Exception.
Value was either too large or too small for an Int64. (logfile only)
Unable to cast object of type 'System.AggregateException' to type 'bali.lang.Exception'.

is different as well.

I get

"Value was either too large or too small for a Decimal."

as in

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1798805/E

Any idea?

Thanks

Michael

Do you have any other explanation as of

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1798805/E

it should be fixed.

Thanks Michael

Hello Tammy,

in the meanwhile I could try with Analysis 2.6 but we get the same error.

"Value was either too large or too small for a Decimal."

The format of the number wich produce the error is

FLTP - Floating Point Number

and the problem is the length of the number. When I create a calculated key figure within the query and divide the original number by 1000 the number is displayed without problems.

The number which can not be displayed within Analysis is for example:

118.549.065.239.227,10 EUR.

In the meanwhile we created a SAP ticket but do you have also any other idea?

Thanks for your support.

Best regards

Michael

I went through the SAP Support Decision tree/guided answers and it recommends opening an incident https://ga.support.sap.com/dtp/viewer/#/tree/1090/actions/12214:12221:12225:12226:12228:12231

PS: In Addition to that we declared the key figure as float in order to cope with these real big numbers

Does anybody experience the same issue?
