My understanding is that, yes, you can create your own file formats.

In the Payments Methods - Setup window, there is a prompt for 'File Format'. I believe that each format is produced by a dll file.

Unfortunately, I do not know how you develop new dll file nor if there is any documentation on it.

I would not think that it would be particularly difficult for someone with the required skill set, though. All you are really doing is reading data from the OPEX table.

You could possibly try posting a question in the SDK forum.

    • Hi Douglas,

yes, the prompt for 'File Format' is present in all versions of B1, it allows you to select the format of the output file.

I know the document you refer to, it is old & would require updating. I would still recommend you go with the standard OPEX dll & then use 3rd party software to repackage the data that was pulled.

Please note that any dll not provided by SAP will not be supported.

    Hi Claudia,

no, unfortunately version 2007 A does not allow a user to create own file formats for bank transfers. Also, the payment engine plus cash&bank is only supported in Latin & South America for Chile & Mexico for version 2007 A. Just the payment engine is aslo supported for Puerto Rico. Please check the PAM (Product Availability Matrix).

    All the best,
