Barcode not printing using SAPSCRIPT not SMARTFORMS

Bar code is not printing for the HP 4300 device that has the module needed to print bar codes.

Has anyone had an issue with this. We are using local printer to send it, but we're having no luck.

Do you think BASIS needs to configure the printer so we can select it from the drop down list (output device)?

Hi,

If you print to a local printer this uses SAPlpd (or SAP Printer Daemon in later releases) for barcode printing you will need to install a barcode dll wherever SAPlpd runs, or print instead to a networked printer.

Is the dll in addition to the module that's installed on the printer?

The form we are printing is from SAPSCRIPT not smartforms.

Hi,

Yes, this is in addition to the printer module, put 'SAP barcode dll' into google, you'll find lots of trial software you can download.

SAPlpd sits between the SAP spool and the frontend printer definition, so it does not distinguish between SAPscript or smartforms.
