Hi NetWeaver Expert

Our Developer is asking to install NetWeaver Developer Studio Client on Local machine

As per my knowledge NWDS is part of Portal Installation and it is already installed if we go for portal installation

Can you please help us to get link, if there is Client Installation for NWDS?

Dilip, Search for Netweaver Developer Studio or Netweaver Developer Work Place on the market place. It's a java development environment similar to IDE or Eclipse.

NWDS is not actually part of a standard Portal installation. It's a separate Java IDE intended to be installed on your developers' workstations. It can be installed by itself, or as part of the NetWeaver Developer Workplace, which is a combination of the NWDS IDE and a full Java stack installation, including Portal, that all goes on your developers' workstations so they each have their own Java/Portal environment to unit test their developments in (yes, you better give them good-sized workstations!).

You can download the NWDS from the SAP Service Marketplace, in the Support Packages area for NetWeaver. Just go for the latest patch level -- it includes the full IDE.
