Variable Problem - BPS

Hi Gurus,

I have created the web layout and now when i am trying to select the value of variable from f4 help i am not getting the values of variable from the master data.However, if i manually enter a value of the variable, save the layout and then if i trying to get the value of variable through f4 help i can see all the values.

why don't we get the master data read from f4 help while using it for the first time.

Hi,

In the first screen of layout builder where you determine the basic settings for the planning layout, choose which characteristic values are to be displayed by selecting Additional Settings --> Characteristic Combinations.

Choose All Possible Characteristic Combinations. In this case you cannot enter any new values for characteristics in the executed layout whic h are not maintained in the master data of the corresponding characteristic already.

Hi Deepak,

You need to go to InfoObject and select the option that enables the display of selections on F4 help. I do not have access to system otherwise I would have been more precise in my answer. Explore that you will get it.

Yes,,,,if you enter some values the display will show only those values.
