is there a guided configuration available for s/4hana 1709 version on premise?

Hi,

I was learning about s4hana and stumbled upon the guided config but it was for the 2015 release and for cloud. Is there an available one for the current release for on-premise deployment?

Hello Suzanne,

if you're interested into a pre-configured system S/4HANA 1709 on-premise system (incl. activated best-practices, demo data, Fiori, etc.) , you can try out the SAP S/4HANA 1709 Fully-Activated appliance.

Dear Joerg,

Is this the only method, we cannot use the SAP S/4 HANA – How to “Manage Your Solution” Fiori App for on-premises?

I know a while ago it was only available for cloud, for 1511 release.

Also to bring best practices into S/4 HANA we need to use Solution Builder in SOLMAN 7.2, correct? Or is this just a preferred approach?

Hi Warren,

you can also use the Manage Your Solution app in 1709 but for the full package (config guides...) you need to download the whole package from Best Practice Explorer anyway.

Solution Manager is not mandatory to activate Best Practices but may help in an implementation project.

I went into https://rapid.sap.com/bp/# but it seem that will need a valid id ->

"Dear Visitor, Please log-in using your SAP provided User ID to access/download more comprehensive and detailed accelerators on SAP Best Practices."

What is the process of acquiring an id from SAP? Is it a subscription or restricted to SAP partners or customers only?

Hi Suzzane,

Guided Configuration is available for S/4HANA Cloud Version only, being hosted on public cloud. S/4HANA 1709 is on premise and guided configuration do not come for on premise.

I could not find any video for latest S/4HANA EM Cloud version 1711.
