Dimension Table

Hi Experts,

Please explain me When will dimension table will be created in the time of Cube creation.

Hi Friend,

Dimension Table are created when you activate your infocube.

and Dimension Tables are filled during InfoCube load.

Hi,

I addition to above we have line Item Dimension.

You can create one dimension for each char max 13.

If you create 1 dimension for all chars.. this size of dim table would be growing fast.

You can group similar chars in one dimension, if they are mapped one to many.

For better report performance

1. Use 1 dimension for each char

2. mark that as line item dimension.

They will be created at the time of activating your cube.

The Dimension tables only have relationship b/w the Dim IDs and SIDs.
