Virtual Characteristic questions

Hi,

I need to create a virtual characteristic for a query,

i have maintained declaration in ZXRSRTOP, do assignment in program ZXRSRU02, and provide logic in program ZXRSRZZZ.

I am utilize existing characteristic in the infoprovider with same datatype & length to accomodate this purpose,

but after the implementation the virtual char display it's original value instead of the new value i have set in the exit program.

My questions are:

1. Can I utilize existing char in the infoprovider or should I create a new char for this purpose?

2. how to debug exit program ZXRSRZZZ? I have place a break-point in the program, and execute the query in RSRT but no debug screen popup.

Hi,

problem was solved. I have created & add a new char with empty value, and the function work fine.

It seems cannot utilize existing char that have value on it.
