Dear Experts,

In one of our enviroments we have installed SAP Business One 9.1 PL08.

In this enviroment, we need to handle a signifficant amount of transactions (approximately 1.900.000 lines in JDT1 table per month).

We would like to know the hardware requirements need in ordr to be able to execute and manage the system reports for such amoun of data.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,

Vasilis Korolis

Hi Vasilis,

1.9 million lines a month is a crazy amount. Even if you were to run on HANA, would reports probably become slow after a year or two. Also B1 has some built in memory guards to prevent the system from crashing. These guards cannot be turned off, and the may kick in even though your hardware is top of the line. Please note that when you run a report, the local machine's RAM is used.

It would probably be best to consider either rigorously redesigning the business process, or offering the customer another SAP product, like SAP Financials. If your company does not offer SAP Financials, you need to think about making some kind of commission type deal with another SAP Partner.

Otherwise as for hardware, you might want to consider a cloud solution, so you do not need to worry about hardware requirements. You only need to relay the 1.9 million lines a month info to the provider.

Regards,

Johan
