We want to finalize a support pack strategy any pointers?

Hi,

We want to finalize on the support pack application policy for our company. Currently we are on ECC 6.0 Support Pack 8. We have a new SAP installation. Can you please suggest some blogs or articles that elaborate on what is a good support pack application policy. i.e how frequently should we apply the support packs, compatibility issues, what all things we need to test after applying the support pack etc.
