could someone tell me the process for email notification to the customer once its been shippped from the warehouse.......

I think that you have had the answer to your question. I am trying to get people to keep the forum tidy. If you have what you require could you award you points if you want to and mark your question as answered.

This helps everybody as there are at the moment 48 pages of open questions and if people do not close them the forum will grow and then people like me will not go through all of the pages as it takes too long and some people will not get answers to their questions.

Hi Bob

In order to send the email communication to customer - as said in earlier you need to define a Output type with relevant Programs/or smart form. The Medium for the output type should be 5 External send.

You need also to define Communication strategy CS01 (Std SAP delivered) with Strategy type as INT (EMAIL)

Maintain the Email address in Customer and maintain your email address in your master- you may need some help from Basis team to configure these.

Hello Bob

In output determination process for delivery, you may define the 'Routine' (ABAP Program) with help of ABAPer, and assigned it in 'output determination process'. Its logic should be trigger mail to address from 'Ship-to-party' customer when delivery, picking, packing and PGI gets completed. In this way you can define hard coded auto mail to ur cutomer.
