master data for business partner

Hello Gurus,

if a person can act as a few business partner ( such as payer, bill-to-party etc),

do I need create mater data for this person using different account group ( I think account

group correspons to partner function )

HI Bo,

Answer to your question is NO.

Eventhough partner is responsible for different partner roles, if he is same you dont need to create them individually.

If you create once it will be copied automatically.

You are partial right.

When you want to create a customer who plays different roles, you will use different account group but Actually Accoutn group will only responsible to show/hide different fields on screen.

Partner determination procedure determines which funtion to play but at lower level, you can think account group is responsible. As partner determination procedure as assigned to account groups.
