I have 3 systems in my Landscape
DEV system is AIX +Oracle
QAS systme is HP+ ORalce
PROD is HP + Oracle
I have created a transprot route from DEV> QAs>PROD
The TR route is also distributed.
When i release a TR in DEV system, it is not getting released and giving me the following error
Test call of transport control program (tp) ended with return code 0012
Message no. TK094
Diagnosis
Your transport request could not be exported, since all requirements were not fulfilled.
Calling the transport control program tp
"tp EXPCHK DBWK900050 pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_DBW.PFL -Dtransdir=/usr/sap/tr"
which checks the export requirements, returned the following information:
Return code from tp: 0012
Error text from tp: ERROR: Buffer check failed.
System Response
Further processing is terminated.
Procedure
Check the following points:
Feasibility of the transport control program tp
Parameter settings in the transport profile
so i tried to execute the TP program in Backend, but still getting the following error
WARNING: PArameter DBLIBPATH is no longer used
error: buffer check failed
tp finished with return code 12
Please help
The statement "Dtransdir=/usr/sap/tr" that you quote looks suspicious. I would expect to see "Dtransdir=/usr/sap/trans", but it could just be cut-off because of line length restrictions.
To be check your environment go to transaction STMS, and choose "Overview -> Systems" from the toplevel menu bar. In the resulting screen
1. select the system you want to analyse
2. from top level menu bar choose "SAP Systems -> Check -> Tarnport Directory"
On the resulting screen, expand the displayed nodes, and you should see all the required transport directory and a "Green Checmark" for each of them if everything is OK at the OS level
3. go back to step 2, but now choose "SAP Systems -> Check -> Transport Tool"
On the resulting screen, expand the nodes, and verify that all items have a "Green Checkmark"
You can repeat the above process for each system in you landscape simply by choosing a different system in Step 1.
Errors in the transport configuration should be visible by doing this analysis.
