What is the use of Basic Data 1 &

Basic Data 2 Views in Material master Views.

The Basis data 1 & Basis data 2 view Contains detalis like

Base Unit of Measure

Material Group

Old material number

Division

Authorization Group

Dimensions/EAN

Design Drawing

All these details will be Stored at Client level,

So we need choose details accordingly..

Hi,

Basis data view have all the common details across all the funtions/Modules..

Ex..Material Description,,Divisoin, UoM, Material group, Net weight and Weight unit, Packing details, Prod.hierarchy, Engg. change management..Alternative Uom, if you have.

And this data is common across all Plant/company code ..It is at client level.

Hi,

Data is maintained at client level and will be uniform throught the plants under one company code.
