Hi All

Can we restrict the movement type usage rather than authorization.

For eg 561 movement type should be restricted, one way of restricting it is by authorization.Can we restrict this by any other method rather than autorization.

hi,

there is no other way for restricting the movement type but we can block the movement type .this happens at the time of inventory management i mean cycle count.

To block the movement type ,

1. Go to transaction code OMJJ.

2. Enter the movement type you want to block.

3. Select the Second option in the List which appears in the left. (Allowed Transaction).

4. Remove the transaction codes from where you want your client to use that particular movement type.

561 is supposed to post initial stock.

Usually the initial stock posting hits different credit accounts than standard stock postings. Just block this G/L account in FS01 and nobody is able to do any movement with 561 even they have authorization.

And it is not a customizing change.
