sales item text

Hi,

while creating sales order, sales item text is maintained as a mandatory.

i want that sales item text should be optional.

pls give me solution.......

Goto Tcode:VOTXN,

find your text procedure ( which is assigned to your sales item category - VOV7)

select ur text procedure - clik on "text ids in text procedure)

change- as "Text is not obligatory

ur issue will be solved

Hi Babu,

1.use t.code VOTXN,

2.In the resulting screen, select the radio button 'Sales item', click on push button 'change'

3.from the left hand margin, click on 'text procedure assignement', in the resulting screen locate the item category for which you want to make the text optional - Note down the text procedure assigned to item category

4. from the left margin now click on 'text procedure', select the text procedure you noted down in step 3

5. after selecting the text procedure, click on 'text IDs in text procedure' from left margin

6. in the resulting screen against the Text ID, from the drop down select 'text is not obligatory'

Dear Babu,

You mean system is showing incompletion log for sales item text !!

If yes then go to IMG you remove the Sales item text field in the incompletion procedure.

SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Basic functions>Log of incomplete items>Define incompleteness procedures-->Select sales-item click on procedures then select standard item then click on fields
