Invalid path when runing msi file builded with CrystalReport 11_5 Merge module

Hi,

I need to deploy CR XI R2 with VB6 app.

I have generated an .msi file with Visual Studio 2010 using this msm file :

CrystalReports11_5_RDC_Reportengine.msm

CrystalReports11_5_RDC_Runtime.msm

When I try to install the .msi file on a target machine (without any Crystal Report installed), the source path for a file is invalid and not exist, as show below :

The msm files are in the folder : G:\DEVVB\PROJETS\EvenInnoPackage\Redist\Crystal11\

And I want to install the CR XI R2 files on the target machine to this folder :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Even Installation\Crystal11

Do you know why the source path is invalid ?

Regards.

Hi Philippe,

I believe the path is too long, that path is 113 characters long. Try putting the MSI a folder on the local machine and try running it. I've run into a similar issue before.

Good luck,

Brian
