Appraisal template tabs mising after upgrade to EHP7

Hi All,

We have recently made a clone of our EHP5 system and upgraded to EHP7 after which Tabs in appraisal template are missing. We have tested from portal 7.4 (which has been updated from 7.2) and also tried executing application from backend but the tabs are not visible.

EHP7 screenshot below.

EHP5 Screenshot below.

We are using zcopy of application HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT and zcopy application configuration HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC.

I have checked tabs configuration in tcode HAP_TAB_CONF which exist.

Note: Even the buttons save, delete, configuration preview and synchronize in tcode HAP_TAB_CONF are not visible.

We have activated Business Function CA_HAP_CI_1 for Appraisal.

I have searched on scn but couldn't find relevant issue, we are on SAP_BASIS 740 SP17, SAP_HR 604 SP 114 and EA-HR 607 SP 65.

Please help in this regard.

There can be two main reasons:

    1. The missing UI element is there, but it is rendered with 0px. This could happen due to the switch from quirks mode to standards mode. See following Wiki page: Internet Explorer document modes. You can test this if you switch between document modes in IE with F12 developer tool. Also see following KBA: 2269215 - WDA: UI element is not visible with container height 100%.

    2. The missing part is not created or sent from the backend. In this case this is rather an application issue than a framework issue.
