Hi KM Experts,
I configured the windows shared file system repository into KM on portal, portal is running on IBM AIX 5.3 (UNIX). The persistent mode for KM is DB.
The following steps are implemented for the same
1. Configured the Network path under Content Mgmt -> Global services
2. Configuration of File system repository manager under Content Mgmt -> Repository managers
3. Restarted the portal services
4. The shared file system we can see under Content Admin->KM content->Shared Folder and contents under the folders
Issue 1:
-
We are unable to index the folder contents the status is showing Pending and not at all indexing; there are no such errors in application log. Approximately the folder size is 20 MB.
Issue 2:
-
The context details of the shared drive under KM content is showing details but not showing any permissions & Service Permissions.
What could be the problem? Is there any problem with the wrong configurations / permissions on windows system and KM?
Points will be awarded for the correct answer
Please provide the solution ASAP. Its very urgent for my project
Advance Thanks.
Regards,
Sree
Try to check wether u have implemented this by using the portal permissions or the permissions on the other system(where they are actually present)

Hi,
Thanks the reply,
Just a clarification, Intiallly I configured the windows shared drive without any permissions part, but I can see the folder under KM content. Please could you tell me how to check the permissions for the same.
And one more thing, I created an index for the shared drive but the task is not creating and the index status is pending, so the document is not picking from the folder for indexing.
Any idea?

Sreedhar
Hi,
The persistent mode DB is only applicable to CM Repositories and not for File system repository.
Issue 1:
Flush Queue for TREX index.
