Problem, in Transfering of a material

Dear Guru's,

I was trying transfer a material from one storage to another storage location in back date on 31.03.2008,The posting periods are still open.

But i am facing an error

"Deficit of BA Unrestr. prev. 2.630 L : 204200549 PLBW BRMS 31030108

Message no. M7021"

Pls tell me solution

Dear,

In the privious period the batch qty is less by 2.63 L.

Hence first see that saficient stock is maintained in the storage location and batch combination from which you are issuing the qty, then do the transaction.

Yes that is the case..now my problem is to consume in the old period only..what should i do for that ...

Yes,

Hence you need to remove the -ve stock in the privious period, then only you can do the transfer. Open the period and do the transaction, then do the transfer in the current month
