BI Hierarchies - How to Implement?

We are in the process of implementing BI and I have done some research to determine the best methodology to perform the task below, but so far I have no solution. Therefore, I would appreciate your assistance in performing the tasks below:

1. Create User Authorization Variable for 0FUND – Fund Centers and 0COSTCENTER – Cost Centers. Each user id will have a defined node on each of these hierarchies that he is allowed to see. All nodes below the specified node will be available to the user as well.

2. Users will be allowed to broadcast reports.

Question how can this be accomplished?

Hi Srinath,

You could easily achieve the first requirement using the new Authorization concept in BI. Firstly, the two characteristics should be marked as authorization relevant ( T Code RSAUTH). Then create and Authorization in which, for these two characteristics, you can specify the node of a hierarchy as the level of authorization. While specifying the node, you have to chose from options as to whether you want to give authorization for the items under the node, etc. Once that is done and assigned to the User, your 1st requirement will be met!
