How to reset a query programmatically through the Crystal Reports Runtime 2013

In SAP Crystal Reports one can view the query that is executed when viewing a report. This is done by navigating the menu thus:

Database -> Show SQL Query.

Sometimes (though not in all cases) an extra button is presented to the user on the dialog that shows the query. This button has the the title 'Reset'.

My questions are:

1) under what conditions is this button shown?

2) is the functionality when pushing this button also available through the Crystal Reoports Runtime 2013?

Thanks in advance!

I have never seen this button! However, it may depend on whether you're joining tables in the command and using the Select Expert or, from BusinessObjects using the options to change the filter. If that is the case, I believe you'll have to use the RAS ReportClientDocument SDK in order to make changes to the SQL.
