Sending notification\Alert by email from [SAP FC 10.1]

Hi dear experts, I would like to send notification by email from [SAP FC 10.1]. Could you give me a process about this?

    This is a very brief overview; you should consult the User Guide (http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/bofc101/en/fc_101_win_user_en.pdf) for more information, check topics "workflow" and "email" (e.g. section Package workflow alert and notification)


    1. Setup the email server in general options
    2. Make sure the users have an email address
    3. In the RU Organizer, define workflow steps
    4. Certain events (package submit/reject, journal post/unpost) will now trigger email notififcations

      The submit/reject is not at all related to email server. It purely depends on workflow (and you can have workflow without email notification)

      Define some workflow (you can read about this in the User Guide) and you should get these options enabled.

      I did a test (leaving email server empty) and the options appear

      When I 'reject' is prompts for what level user to set it back to --> this shows this linked to workflow

      As for the mail server - any SMTP server should work, as long as you have a valid account/pwd

      For example, you can even use hotmail, see http://www.serversmtp.com/en/smtp-hotmail
